Job Description:

As a Senior Field Service Engineer with Tokyo Electron, you will be responsible for performing on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment. This is a contingent role that requires heavy travel, with 80% of your time spent on the road. You will be working with various clients, troubleshooting equipment problems, and maintaining records and reports as required. You will also be coordinating activities with peers, supervisors, and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions. In addition, you will be responsible for ordering and installing parts, responding to emergency service calls, and instructing customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance. You will also be performing upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed, and remaining current on equipment and tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials. This role requires a thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair, and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures. You will also be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and security of company property, including vehicles and tools. Employees must also maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both TEA and customers to maintain credentials for being on customer sites.

Qualifications:
Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study; Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology preferred. 2+ year previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment. Excellent customer interface skills is required. Mechanical aptitude is required as well as an ability to use appropriate tools. Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures are required.

Physical Requirements:


Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places.

Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. PPE is Required including, not limited to, consistent wearing of safety glasses, safety shoes and a bump cap. A clean room garment may be required to be worn for lengthy periods of time.

Job duties may require walking up to and in excess of 10,000 steps and walking up and down multiple flights of stairs per shift (12 hours).
