Music Therapist

Job Summary:

As a Music Therapist at Penn State Health, you will be responsible for the organizational aspects of music therapy, including quality improvement, purchasing, program planning, and professional development. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of therapeutic interventions, including patient assessment, therapeutic interventions, patient evaluation, and documentation.

Responsibilities:

* Organize and implement music therapy programs to meet the needs of patients and families
* Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals to ensure effective collaboration and communication
* Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
* Provide therapeutic interventions, including music-based activities and exercises
* Document patient progress and outcomes

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree, Master's Equivalency (in progress or completed), or Master's degree (in progress or completed) from an AMTA (American Music Therapy) institution and certification (MT-BC) through the Certification Board for Music Therapy
* Minimum three (3) months effective experience
