We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registration Representative to join our team at Porter Hospital. As a key member of our registration team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and complete patient information for billing and collection purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Registration Accuracy: Meet or exceed a registration accuracy rate of 95% or greater monthly and consistently.
  2. Cash Policy/Procedure Compliance: Follow the Cash Policy/Procedure and requirements of compliance/guidelines, collections of point of service monthly to meet or exceed goal prior authorization three weeks out.
  3. Medicare Compliance: Follow IM, ABN, and MSP procedures with all Medicare patients, along with Medicare inpatient/outpatient forms according to compliance.
  4. Flexibility: Be flexible and willing to adjust hours on demand of the organization/customer during special occasions, ED, Holidays, Mass Casualty, Downtime, call offs, etc.
  5. Task Completion: Commit to completing the mandatory training, timely and complete daily Task List, work List, resolving errors daily, and Reports to have timely billing.
  6. Customer Service: Provide highest quality service and meet customers' needs with utmost kindness, care, compassion, courtesy, empathy, respect, and friendliness.
  7. Appearance: Take pride in personal appearance, the facility, and its surroundings.
  8. Teamwork: Recognize we are linked to one another by a common purpose; serving our patients and our community, that we are team members with our physicians and co-workers, and that we each deserve respect and support.
  9. Communication: Listen attentively to our customers to fully understand needs. Pay close attention to both verbal and non-verbal communication.
  10. Customer Waiting: Provide prompt service, keep customers informed regarding the time in which the service will be performed, and make customers comfortable while they are waiting.
  11. Privacy: Maintain customer privacy and confidentiality.
  12. Safety Awareness: Ensure an accident-free environment. Establish, promote, and monitor a proactive innovative approach to enhance hospital and patient safety. Adhere to and ensure compliance with Joint Commission Patient Safety Goals and hospital safety policies.
  13. Sense of Ownership: Demonstrate a sense of ownership in their job, take pride in what they do, and how they do it. Accept responsibility for and be in control of the job that needs to be done.
