Job Summary

New Wave Wellness is seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team. As a Recreational Therapist, you will design and implement individualized care plans to help clients with health and functional disabilities improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess client needs and develop treatment plans to promote health and wellbeing
  • Collaborate with clients to overcome emotional difficulties and become more active members of society
  • Provide therapeutic activities to increase clients' sense of productivity, general health, and pleasure
  • Work with clients to build independence, productivity, well-being, and quality of life
  • Complete paperwork in a timely manner and attend virtual contractor/company meetings
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or Therapeutic Recreation
  • Current Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential
  • Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, veterans, and military population
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and insurance
  • Ability to obtain personal liability insurance
