Ambulatory Care Nurse

As a key member of the University of New Mexico - Hospitals team, you will provide safe, direct patient care in the ambulatory setting, utilizing the nursing process to deliver high-quality care. You will also provide clinical leadership for staff, mentorship, and serve as a role model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full range of patient education to patients and family members
- Assume relief charge duties, when designated
- Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures
- Assist physician with special tests, procedures, and complex treatments
- Process data and generates reports; assist in the reception and discharge areas; handle patient calls and triage using documentation
Requirements:
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days
- RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
- 3 years directly related experience
Working Conditions:
- Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people
- Med Haz: Moderate exposure to chemicals/dangerous equipment/materials
