Clinical Nurse Specialist

Overview
As a Clinical Registered Nurse at UNM Hospitals, you will provide safe and direct patient care in an ambulatory setting. You will work with a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. This role offers opportunities for professional development and growth, including a sign-on bonus and relocation reimbursement for eligible candidates.
Responsibilities
• Provide safe and direct patient care in an ambulatory setting
• Work with a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups
• Serve as a clinical leader and mentor to staff, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients
• Participate in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and families on health and wellness, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Qualifications
• Registered Nurse (RN) in New Mexico or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by New Mexico
• Minimum of 3 years directly related experience (Preferred)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
• CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days of hire
Working Conditions
• Moderate exposure to chemicals, dangerous equipment, and materials
• Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people
