Role Overview

Wells Fargo is seeking a Communications Senior Manager to spearhead the development and execution of strategic communication plans for the Chief Technology Office. This role encompasses executive and internal communications that bolster business objectives and enhance the Company’s reputation, while also overseeing the CTO Communications team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of communication professionals dedicated to the Chief Technology Office.
  • Guide the development of less experienced communicators through coaching and support.
  • Formulate and implement communication strategies and tactics aligned with business objectives.
  • Own the narrative surrounding CTO messaging in relation to strategic priorities and achievements.
  • Identify and leverage storytelling opportunities that highlight key initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to ensure messaging is consistent with strategic goals.
  • Consult with various teams to represent the 'voice of the customer' in deliverable development.
  • Act as a trusted communications leader and strategic advisor to the Communications team and business partners.
  • Work with communicators to ensure alignment in communication strategies and messaging.
  • Partner with Technology Communications teams to execute effective communication strategies and content.
  • Foster a culture of talent development to achieve business objectives.
  • Challenge existing processes that do not align with the Target Operating model and propose efficient solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing branding and communication channels to meet business needs.
  • Oversee communication reviews and approval processes to uphold standards and manage reputation.
  • Track and analyze results to inform decisions on communication channels and methods.
  • Assist with broader CTO communications and content as capacity allows.
Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in Public Relations, Media Relations, or Corporate Communications, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and executing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • 3+ years of experience in transformation initiatives within large organizations.
  • 3+ years of experience translating complex technology topics into accessible narratives.
