Position Overview:
As a custodian, your contributions are essential to ensuring a clean and safe environment for all staff members. This role encompasses a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, aimed at upholding the cleanliness and safety of the workplace. This temporary position offers full-time hours with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming floors.
- Polishing and maintaining office furniture, including tables, chairs, and desks.
- Dusting and cleaning mechanical devices such as monitors and printers.
- Washing windows, doors, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning agents.
- Emptying waste and recycling bins to maintain cleanliness.
- Restocking restroom supplies and ensuring sanitary conditions.
- Conducting routine heavy cleaning tasks, including floor stripping and waxing.
- Assisting with minor repairs and maintenance of equipment.
- Preparing spaces for the next day by tidying up and ensuring cleanliness.
- Documenting inspections and maintenance activities as required.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- The physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Experience in maintenance, cleaning, and janitorial services.
- Familiarity with various cleaning supplies and equipment.
- The flexibility to work early mornings and overtime as needed.
