As a Medical Consultant I - Psychiatrist, you will play a critical role in evaluating and interpreting medical reports, assessing the functional abilities of applicants, and providing assessments of program requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and interpret medical reports to determine the functional abilities of applicants.
  • Assess the effects of medical or surgical treatment on program requirements.
  • Provide assessments of program requirements and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Disability Evaluation Analyst staff to adjudicate applications for disability benefits.
  • Participate in decision-making regarding team endeavors related to quality, workflow, and production.
Requirements
  • Must have a strong understanding of medical and psychiatric principles.
  • Must have excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
