Job Title: Aerospace Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Systems Engineer to join our team at Collins Aerospace, a leading provider of technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting systems engineering activities for support of existing product as well as development of product modifications for military and commercial propeller platforms. This includes propeller control system development, customer fleet support, and system safety and Failure Modes Effects and Criticality development for propeller hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct systems engineering activities for support of existing product and development of product modifications for military and commercial propeller platforms.
  • Develop and implement propeller control systems, including control law definition.
  • Provide customer fleet support, including investigations and technical requests for troubleshooting.
  • Support aircraft modification sites and post-installation system checkout.
  • Develop and implement system safety and Failure Modes Effects and Criticality for propeller hardware and software.
  • Generate reports for engineering work performed based on analysis and test activities.
  • Support necessary laboratory and production testing.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Experience with systems engineering, aerospace experience, and experience with MATLAB/SIMULINK is preferred.

Collins Aerospace offers a competitive salary range of $64,000 - $128,000, medical, dental, and vision insurance, three weeks of vacation, and a generous 401(k) plan. We also offer tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment, and life insurance and disability coverage.
