We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at PRI Technology. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our proprietary databases and data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Python and SQL.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Optimize and tune data systems for high performance and reliability.
- Manage and work with our database managed service provider to manage and monitor our evolving database requirements.
- Implement and manage data storage solutions in cloud environments.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation.
- Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to improve data processing capabilities.
Requirements:
- 4-5 years of experience in data engineering, with a Master's degree strongly preferred.
- Strong programming skills in SQL and Python.
- Proficiency in database administration.
- Proven experience migrating on-prem data and associated processes to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement efficient and reliable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
