Responsibilities:

* Conducts scanning processes using ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient comfort.
* Reviews patient history and clinical data to facilitate accurate diagnostic results.
* Explains procedures to patients, ensuring their understanding and cooperation.
* Selects appropriate transducers and positions patients for optimal results.
* Reschedules exams as necessary and ensures image quality and availability for radiologist interpretation.
* Maintains a high standard of professionalism and adheres to departmental initiatives.

Requirements:

* RDMS-registered diagnostic medical sonographer (AB certification required)
* Successful completion of a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program or meets education pre-requisites
* Knowledge of anatomy, cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and ultrasound physics
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain a clean and organized working area
