Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound procedures, including M-MODE, 2D, PW/CW DOPPLER, COLOR FLOW IMAGING, STRESS ECHOES, TRANSESOPHAGEAL, and CONTRAST ULTRASOUND studies.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, acquiring demographic information, and correlating symptoms with findings.
  • Recognize abnormal pathology and demonstrate correlation of this information into a useful study, generating a permanent record on the digital PACS system and hardcopy.
  • Prepare initial reports for cardiologists to read and initiate direct notification for issues requiring immediate attention.
Requirements
  • Registered in Cardiac Ultrasound preferred.
  • Four to five years of Cardiac ultrasound experience required, with knowledge of M-MODE, 2D, COLOR FLOW IMAGING, and Doppler.
  • Experience with transesophageal imaging and stress echo preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of special needs and behaviors of infant, child, adolescent, adult, and older adult patients required/preferred.
