Senior Distributed Energy Resources Electrical Engineer

Glumac, a Tetra Tech Company, is seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in Distributed Energy Resources to join our world-class Electrical Team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a global leader in building engineering committed to combatting climate change through decarbonization, electrification, and resilient design.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide design and implementation for multiple forms of renewable energy sources, including PV, wind, fuel cell, solar, battery storage, and EV charging.
- Lead consulting services with clients on next-generation technologies and integrate them into projects.
- Work closely with our Building Science group to expand Glumac's portfolio of Distributed Energy projects.
- Assist in the design and technical analysis for battery energy storage, distributed energy resources, and microgrid design.
- Work with our Energy team to understand the effects of renewable energy on a power system.
- 10+ years of experience with technical lead and design experience.
- Able to lead pursuits and develop proposals.
- Provide active project management on multidiscipline projects.
- Electrical utility resilience planning and master planning.
- Project design experience with at least two of the following: commercial photovoltaic (PV) solar design, on-shore wind turbine, clean fuel cell, clean linear generators, large-scale battery energy storage systems, large-scale electric vehicle charging infrastructure, microgrids utilizing relays and advanced control logic.
- Experience with an island microgrid not connected to the grid utility.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Current Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Knowledge of codes, standards, and financial incentives for alternative energy systems.
- Knowledge in REVIT and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with microgrid/DER analysis or control software.
- Experience with short circuit/coordination/arc flash software.
- Experience with designing medium voltage distribution, such as campus loops.
Salary Range: $150,000-$175,000
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the proposed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, actual role and responsibilities. The range listed is just one component of Glumac's total compensation package for employees.
