Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our Warehouse Operations team at Associated Wholesale Grocers. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing and managing all warehouse activities to ensure the highest level of efficiency, productivity, and expense control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement annual operating budgets and monitor P&L lines to ensure compliance and meet established goals.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish and direct operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and total warehouse inventory.
  • Team Leadership: Direct and coordinate activities of the distribution center with member services, customer service, and procurement to ensure availability of merchandise.
  • Customer Focus: Direct all distribution activities to balance the needs of members and the company, providing prompt and efficient customer service.
  • Process Improvement: Maintain and improve the productivity and efficiency of the distribution center.
  • Staff Development: Hire, train, and develop staff, and develop a succession plan to ensure continuity.
  • Employee Relations: Oversee all disciplinary actions and employee complaints or grievances to ensure proper resolution.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all laws, governmental regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Communication: Provide open and honest communication at all levels within the distribution center.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: Five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Strong communication and computer skills, with the ability to use and learn new technology.
  • Certifications: Valid Driver's License.
