Position Overview:
  • The Electrophysiology Registered Nurse focuses on specialized cardiology nursing practices.
  • This role involves assisting and educating patients during electrophysiology study procedures related to cardiac health.
  • An electrophysiology study is a non-invasive procedure designed to gather insights into the heart's electrical functions.
  • This position reports directly to the Unit Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, administer medications, provide moderate sedation, and perform hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Participate actively in circulating and scrubbing during electrophysiology and other scheduled invasive procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in performing and interpreting electrocardiograms (EKGs).
Qualifications:
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with a valid nursing license in good standing.
  • Current certification in AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an Electrophysiology Lab is required.
