Position Overview:
  • An Electrophysiology Registered Nurse focuses on specialized cardiology nursing practices.
  • This role involves assisting and educating patients who are undergoing electrophysiological assessments of the heart.
  • An electrophysiology assessment is a non-invasive procedure designed to gather insights into the heart's electrical functions.
  • The position reports directly to the Unit Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient evaluations, administer medications, provide moderate sedation, and perform hemodynamic monitoring during electrophysiology procedures and other scheduled interventions in our invasive labs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in executing and interpreting electrocardiograms (EKGs).
Qualifications:
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program, holding a current and valid nursing license.
  • Current certification in AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of recent experience in an Electrophysiology Lab is required.
