Job Summary

This position provides administrative support and data entry for the regional adult education program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to serving a diverse community, including low-income families and English language learners. They should be self-motivated and able to work independently at a satellite site.

The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, technology skills, and the ability to manage and maintain a professional workspace. They will also be responsible for collecting, monitoring, and entering students' data and progress into the adult education data systems.

Essential Duties
  • Provide clerical support duties such as answering phones, email, filing, and data entry.
  • Provide quality customer service in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate data and perform a variety of data entry and retrieval tasks.
  • Manage multiple tasks with many interruptions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of documents, student records, and other information.
  • Collaborate with community college staff to support grant objectives.
  • Support program timeline and processes for data collection.
  • Administer assessments to prospective students.
  • Participate in staff development activities, staff meetings, and activities as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Three years of previous experience in an educational institution or office setting is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess good organization skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook software.

They must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, workforce partners, and the public. Spanish-English bilingual skills are required.
