POSITION OVERVIEW

The Event Services Supervisor is tasked with creating a vibrant atmosphere and delivering exceptional service by embodying the principles of Classic Hospitality and Elegance for patrons.

This role involves upholding rigorous cleanliness standards in accordance with food service sanitation regulations.

The individual will possess extensive knowledge of guest relations, proactively address guest requests, fulfill their needs, deliver orders, and process payments.

Emphasis will be placed on departmental objectives of - Consistency, Quality, and Promptness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Arrive punctually for pre-event meetings with a positive demeanor and actively engage in discussions.
  • Continuously generate enthusiasm and provide top-tier service while embodying the company’s core values.
  • Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in all facets, including setup, execution, and breakdown of events.
  • Serve as a supervisory figure in the absence of the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Motivate, train, coach, and mentor team members, advocate for both the staff and the organization, and lead efforts to achieve departmental goals while promoting the company’s mission and values.
  • Plan and oversee the execution of all banquet and catered events in a safe, sanitary, and cost-effective manner in collaboration with the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Address guest complaints and concerns with appropriate measures.
  • Organize and conduct team meetings; participate in related meetings to gather and share relevant information.
  • Adhere to departmental standards, guidelines, and objectives, including compliance with all Food Service and Sanitation, OSHA, and Hazcom standards.
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality food and beverage service to all guests by following established service sequences and utilizing upselling techniques.
  • Operate the Point-Of-Sale System as per provided training.
  • Implement all alcohol awareness policies and procedures.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of restaurant and bar menus.
  • Maintain cleanliness by addressing spills immediately.
  • Exhibit a gracious, kind, and warm demeanor that fosters a sense of fondness, while also maintaining professionalism, courtesy, and responsiveness that positively reflects on the company and its core values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by department and/or company management.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (including records, production, and training) within appropriate guidelines to enhance revenues and profit margins while ensuring quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree in Business Management or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Buffet, Banquet, or Catering sales management is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. A self-motivated, sociable leader is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, business publications, instructions, and correspondence; capable of authoring reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals; effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups of managers, staff, guests, and the public.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word is required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
  • Prior customer service experience is necessary.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
