Position Overview

This role is pivotal in utilizing diverse imaging modalities to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The Radiologic Technologist II is responsible for executing various diagnostic radiology tasks, ensuring that all imaging procedures are performed with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts radiographic procedures in accordance with established radiological standards, ensuring safety and accuracy.
  • Operates medical imaging equipment effectively to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
  • Evaluates patient conditions and maintains safety protocols throughout the imaging process.
  • Collaborates with clinical leaders to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
  • Maintains confidentiality and adheres to hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Radiological Technology.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
  • Current licensure by the Massachusetts Radiation Control Board.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in the operation of radiographic equipment and understanding of radiation safety protocols.
  • Ability to assess patient needs and prioritize care effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with diverse patient populations.
  • Capability to manage workflow efficiently and contribute to departmental operations.
