Job Title: Travel Surgical Technician

Palm Health Resources is seeking an experienced Surgical Technician to join our team for a 13-week assignment in Dallas, TX.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist Registered Nurse Circulator in organizing and prioritizing tasks for each surgical procedure.
  • Provide perioperative patient care by selecting and inspecting surgical supplies and equipment.
  • Apply aseptic and sterile technique during surgical procedures.
  • Promote patient safety by checking equipment for proper working order.
  • Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts with Registered Nurse Circulator.
  • Pass surgical instruments and anticipate surgeon's needs during procedures.
  • Clean and prepare surgical instruments for terminal sterilization.
  • Assist with operating room turnover.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year Surgical Tech experience.
  • Surgical Technologist Certification or completion of surgical technology training program in the US Military or US Public Health Service.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS.
  • High school diploma.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
