We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Design at Texas Tech University. This is a full-time, 9-month position that will begin in January 2025.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will contribute to the university's mission through teaching, service, and research, by serving as a faculty member in the Interior Design program. The applicant will have opportunities to teach undergraduate courses in Interior Design and will be expected to provide service to the Department, the College, and the University as appropriate.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in Interior Design
- Contribute to the development of the Interior Design program
- Provide service to the Department, the College, and the University
- Engage in research and creative activities
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Interior Design or a related field and experience in teaching and/or professional practice. A terminal degree (PhD, MFA) in Interior Design or a related field is preferred. The candidate will be expected to teach all undergraduate course levels and provide service to the Department, the College, and the University as appropriate.
