Position Overview: The Community Outreach Education Coordinator will be responsible for the design, execution, and oversight of SAVE's community education initiatives, which encompass volunteer programs and youth-oriented prevention strategies. This role aims to promote and reinforce SAVE's core values within the community by developing educational opportunities that elevate awareness regarding domestic violence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement youth prevention education programs
  • Facilitate training sessions for community members and partner organizations
  • Act as a representative for SAVE at community gatherings
  • Recruit and oversee volunteers
  • Manage social media outreach and communications
  • Oversee program budgets and maintain data tracking
  • Collaborate with Development on awareness initiatives
  • Establish feedback systems for clients and the community
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and intimate partner violence issues
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Experience in managing volunteers
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and various social media platforms
  • Capability to fulfill the physical demands of the position
  • Completion of domestic violence training and possession of a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Domestic Violence Counselor
  • Background in the domestic violence sector
  • Experience in prevention education
  • Ability to engage with youth and advocate for social justice
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills
