Job Title: Weekend Assembly Operator

We are seeking a skilled Weekend Assembly Operator to join our team at BorgWarner. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling new and/or replacement parts by operating intermediate machines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independent monitoring and operation of production equipment
  • Checking equipment for proper functioning and reporting deviations or quality defects
  • Maintenance and cleaning of equipment, work area, and facility based on 5 S standards
  • General support within the production processes
  • Assembly may require the use of simple hand tools with/without power or special assembly tools
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work every Saturday and Sunday
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
  • Detail oriented and consistent
  • Must be able to work on a team
  • Work independently, accurately, and precisely
  • Interest in electrical engineering processes
  • General experience in production processes
  • Manual Assembly, hands on mechanical skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules, and regulations
  • Basic shop math required (decimals, addition, subtraction, fractions)
  • Ability to learn how to read basic blueprints
