Job Summary

Antora Energy is seeking an experienced attorney to lead the development of large-scale renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project development, construction, and procurement, with expertise in negotiating development agreements and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal counsel and leadership for the development of large-scale renewable energy projects, including transactional and financing due diligence and advisory for regulatory compliance.
  • Structure, draft, review, and negotiate development agreements, including engineering, procurement, and construction contracts, operations and maintenance agreements, power purchase agreements, and equipment procurement agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize project timelines and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide legal support to finance, commercial, construction, operations, and executive leadership teams throughout the development and deployment cycles of thermal energy storage projects.
Requirements
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in project development within the renewable energy or oil & gas sectors, or extensive construction experience, particularly with large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiating development agreements, including engineering, procurement, and construction agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, and equipment procurement agreements.
  • Exceptional ability to apply knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements as they pertain to each project.
  • Understanding of power purchase agreements and site control compliance requirements for distributed energy projects.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative start-up environments.
  • JD from an accredited university and bar membership in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in large-scale renewable energy project finance.
  • Experience building a project development playbook (legal perspective).
