Function:
Finance & Accounting

Position Summary:
The Senior Cost Accountant plays a crucial role in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and other essential accounting reports, including management reports. This position entails reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate monthly journal entries, including consolidating entries and conducting month-end analyses.
  • Prepare various exhibits and commentary necessary for reports submitted to management and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the typing, proofreading, issuance, and filing of reports.
  • Analyze and prepare reports on distribution and storage costs.
  • Assess and recommend enhancements to accounting procedures and systems.
  • Reconcile and analyze intercompany transactions.
  • Provide support and guidance to other accounting personnel.
  • Assist with special projects, year-end processes, and related tasks.
  • Conduct reconciliations of inventory.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience; CPA designation preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to detailed instructions.
  • Capability to perform effectively while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in a Microsoft Windows environment with advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems is advantageous.
Position Scope:
This role involves regular interaction with CF manufacturing sites. Individuals in this position are expected to possess a solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices. While working under supervision, they will apply established methods and procedures to complete tasks that may vary in complexity.

Internal Controls:
Must understand and adhere to established departmental processes designed to support internal control initiatives. Identifies and reports any deficiencies in internal controls to management.
