Aircraft Mechanic - Rotor Wing Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic - Rotor Wing to join our team at Global Medical Response Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rotor wing aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications to airframes, rotors, and appliances.
  • Support the daily maintenance of the Airbus EC135 series aircraft at our base.
  • Collaborate with our maintenance team to maintain our helicopters to the highest standards possible.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our aircraft systems and components.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our maintenance processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License required.
  • Inspection Authorization Certification preferred.
  • Additional FAA/FCC ratings preferred.
  • Three years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months.
  • Ability to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Intermediate-level computer skills with an inventory system.
  • IFR helicopter avionics and auto-pilot experience preferred.
  • Manufacturer training or equivalent on Airbus EC135 preferred.
  • Airbus EC135 maintenance experience preferred.
  • Prior civilian HEMS experience preferred.
