Knapp Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Medicine physician to lead our Residency program as Program Director. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented physician to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the future of healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish the strategic direction of the Residency program and ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans, recruit and supervise residents, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with hospital clinical services and physician practices to enhance value and quality, and promote an optimal environment for professional practice and medical education.
  • Provide clinical teaching and supervision to residents, and support their growth and development as future healthcare leaders.
  • Participate in GME committees and meetings, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in medical education.
  • Recruit and interview candidates for the Residency program, and ensure a diverse and talented pool of applicants.
  • Engage in research and scholarly activity, and mentor residents and students in the development of scholarship programs.
  • Evaluate and monitor resident performance, and provide feedback and support to ensure their success.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of the Residency program, and ensure it remains a leader in medical education.

Requirements:

  • Three to five years of Family Medicine post-residency clinical experience, and core faculty experience in an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency program.
  • A minimum of three years of GME teaching/administrative experience as Program Director or Associate Program Director.
  • Excellent communication skills, and active involvement in research and scholarship (publications, presentations, etc.).
  • Mentorship experience of residents and students in scholarship and development of scholarship programs.
  • Inpatient and administrative experience preferred.
