Department Trainer

Corning is a leading technology company that invents life-changing products using materials science. We are seeking a Department Trainer to join our team in Hemlock, MI.

The Department Trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs to employees within a specific department or area of the manufacturing facility. This includes designing training materials, curriculum, and assessments that align with departmental objectives and comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have a high school or GED, 2-5 years of experience in training and development, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also have strong knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.

The Department Trainer will collaborate with subject matter experts and department managers to identify training needs and develop training programs. They will conduct training sessions and workshops, both in-person and virtually, to deliver training programs to employees. The Department Trainer will also assist in the onboarding process for new hires within the department and ensure that employees are trained on safety procedures, regulations, and best practices.

The Department Trainer will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs by assessing employee performance and soliciting feedback. They will maintain accurate training records and documentation, including attendance records, training completion certificates, and evaluation forms.

The salary range for this position is $55,491.00 - $76,301.00, and the benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
