Position Overview

Role: Speech Language Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to clients in accordance with the professional standards established by the American Speech and Hearing Association. This encompasses screening, assessment, direct intervention, consultation, and education.
  • Evaluate and identify the client's holistic healthcare needs and challenges within the context of their family and community.
  • Develop, implement, coordinate, and modify a personalized care plan that aligns with the client's age, circumstances, and requirements.
  • Carry out the activities specified in the client care plan aimed at fostering independence for the client and their family.
  • Continuously assess the client's need for speech and language therapy and evaluate the effectiveness of these interventions through detailed reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Clinical Competency Certification from a recognized institution as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
  • Current Speech Language Pathologist License in the State of Maine.
  • Valid CPR Certification (training provided).
  • Experience in home health settings is preferred.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle with insurance coverage.
