Overview:

As a Senior Project Engineer specializing in Hydrogen Vehicle Fuel Systems, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and ensuring compliance within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects focused on Hydrogen vehicle fuel systems.
  • Lead initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance related to Hydrogen vehicle fuel systems and their components.
  • Provide support for product design and documentation associated with Hydrogen vehicle fuel systems.
  • Facilitate changes through the Engineering Change Request process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess manufacturability, enhance production efficiency, and evaluate tooling requirements.
  • Work with various departments to maintain adherence to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Participate in relevant standard organizations such as ISO, NFPA, and SAE.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Follow the 5-Phase release process for new product introductions, including APQP.
  • Define and communicate product/component specifications to suppliers for new products or specialized customer projects.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education:

A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently stand, sit, and walk.
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs regularly, with occasional heavier lifting.
  • Frequent use of computers and hands-on work with various types of trucks.

Professional Experience:

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in the Heavy Truck or Automotive Industry as an OEM supplier or manufacturer is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and a strong team player.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards or similar manufacturing software.
  • Basic understanding of Cryogenic Liquids and their properties.
  • Knowledge of heat transfer and vacuum insulation principles.
  • Experience with Heavy Truck, automotive, or diesel engine systems related to fuel delivery and electrical systems is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc., is a plus.
