KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and execute quality and continuous improvement initiatives, assess processes, and ensure that quality benchmarks are achieved, surpassed, and maintained. Proactively identify potential quality challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Facilitate quicker, smarter, and safer operational processes.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and assess technologies to guarantee they meet current quality and safety standards.
  • Document findings and recommendations thoroughly.
  • Maintain regular communication with production leadership, plan and prioritize projects, and secure leadership backing for these initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality performance of incoming materials and outgoing products.
  • Investigate and address customer feedback and complaints.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Support the engineering team in optimizing plant operations for peak efficiency.
  • Assist the engineering team as required in the development and management of capital projects, systems, and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, along with a combination of education and practical experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Background in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven track record of generating measurable savings and quality enhancements in manufacturing.
  • Experience with Lean methodologies and Six Sigma is preferred.
  • ISO Certification is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in computer applications: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of continuous improvement principles and root cause analysis.
