Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent's Blount. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

Responsibilities
  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to provide quality images for radiologists and physicians.
  • Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately.
  • Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Nuclear Medical Tech (NMTCB), Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography (ARRT), Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT), or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (ARRT).
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
