We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist to join our team at VCU Health - MCV Physicians. As a key member of our Department of Anesthesiology, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional anesthetic and critical care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide preanesthetic evaluation, intraoperative anesthetic care, postoperative rounds, resuscitation, and intensive care to patients at VCU Health.
- Direct the activities of nurse anesthetists as assigned by the Department Chair or delegate.
- Teach and mentor residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists in clinical and didactic settings.
- Pursue clinical or laboratory research and other scholarly interests independently.
- Participate in clinical trials and serve on departmental and institutional committees as requested.
- MD or DO degree
- ABA board eligible/certified in anesthesiology and/or certified/eligible for Critical Care Certification
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia
- Eligible for employment in the United States
- Good communication, clinical, and teaching skills
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
