The Incident Response Operator (IRO) plays a critical role in protecting Air Force (AF) systems from cyber threats. As a key member of the Security Operations Center (SOC), the IRO is responsible for analyzing and responding to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and analyze security incidents to identify the root cause and scope of the threat
- Develop and implement containment and remediation strategies to mitigate the impact of the incident
- Collaborate with law enforcement and counter-intelligence agencies to provide technical support and share threat intelligence
- Participate in lessons learned meetings and briefings to improve incident response processes and procedures
- Support planned and same-day Incident Response deployments
- Comply with 3rd party MOU/MOA monitoring and reporting requirements
- Active TS/SCI Level Clearance
- Ability to gain the CSSP Incident Responder Certification (GCFA) within 120 days of hire date
- 3+ years of relevant technical, cyber security, and business work experience
