Neurosurgeon Assistant

Job Opportunity:

At Mercyhealth, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our well-established Neurosurgery practice in Janesville, WI.

Responsibilities:

As a key member of our medical team, you will provide high-quality healthcare services to patients in the clinic and hospital setting. Your duties will include examining patients, performing comprehensive physical examinations, and compiling patient medical data. You will also administer and/or order diagnostic tests, interpret test results, and develop patient management plans. Additionally, you will assist neurosurgeons with in-patient hospital rounds and emergency department consultations, and perform first-assistant duties in the operating room.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must be a graduate of an accredited PA or NP program, hold a valid WI APNP or PA license, and possess other certifications as required. You should also be highly collaborative, self-motivated, and able to work well with the neurosurgery team and other partners. Strong communication skills are essential for working with patients, patient families, and coworkers.
