We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Benefit Account Manager to join our team at GPAC. As an Employee Benefit Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing an assigned block of Employee Benefits business in the Branch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare pre-renewal, renewal, and marketing reports to analyze and present to clients.
- Compare health plan benefits and costs to ensure clients receive the best value.
- Calculate employee contributions and develop strategies to meet client budgetary requirements.
- Prepare annual client service plans to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Conduct annual open enrollment meetings, health fairs, and webinars to educate clients on benefits and options.
- Collect new client information for HIB technology offerings to enhance client experience.
- Author correspondence, communication materials, and compliance notices as required.
- Negotiate rates and benefits with carriers to secure the best deals.
- Audit client information, premium, and commission splits in the HIB Agency Management System (Zywave) to ensure accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
- Assist the Producer to organize and meet meeting deadlines to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to create reports, presentations, and other materials.
- Knowledge of employee benefits/health plan implementation and administration to provide expert guidance to clients.
- Knowledge of regulatory issues such as ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and various state and federal regulations specific to health insurance.
- Ability to negotiate rates and benefits with carriers to secure the best deals.
- High School Graduate/College Degree Preferred.
- Two or more years working in group health insurance, or benefit brokerage/consulting.
- Life and Disability license required.
