Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team at People Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, inspecting facilities, and responding to maintenance requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of physical plant, doors, windows, and ceiling tile.
- Inspect facilities on a regular basis to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
- Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist with snow removal and debris cleanup as needed.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs and replace light bulbs and ballasts.
- Provide general lawn care and maintenance, including grass cutting, edging, and trimming bushes.
- Check the operation of fire life safety equipment, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting.
Requirements
- Valid NYS Driver's License.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1-2 years general maintenance experience preferred.
- Lifting requirement of 50lbs.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
