About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Efficiency Project Engineer to join our team at Resource Innovations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering technical engineering and sustainability support for our energy efficiency projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide reliable and responsive customer service to our clients, ensuring their energy efficiency needs are met.
  • Technical Expertise: Communicate effectively with contractors and customers, assisting them in selecting appropriate energy efficiency equipment that qualifies for utility rebates.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits to verify installation and operation of new and replacement energy-efficient equipment.
  • Measurement and Verification: Support measurement and verification tasks, including the installation of field monitoring equipment to establish energy usage patterns.
  • Energy Savings Analysis: Perform and review energy savings analyses and existing building commissioning-related energy modeling, maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Reporting and Communication: Write technical reports summarizing energy analysis results and recommend energy savings opportunities and incentive payments.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate and coordinate efficiently with project stakeholders, including contractors and end customers.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in an energy-related field, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electric energy using systems in commercial and industrial facilities, including equipment controls and optimization, and/or sustainability practices.
  • Certifications: On track to receive or possess one or more of the following certifications: P.E., C.E.M., C.B.C.P (or similar).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., mechanical engineering, environmental science with a focus on energy efficiency/energy management, or closely related subject).
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deliverable deadlines and budgets.
