About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team at one of our Massachusetts facilities. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of our 24-hour, three-shift plant facility, maintaining production equipment to ensure employee safety and minimize operational interruptions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership, support, and mentorship to the maintenance team, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial electronic and mechanical equipment, including plant refrigeration, forklifts, conveyors, and electrical production machinery.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the repair and preventative maintenance of manufacturing machines and equipment, ensuring they are serviced as required.
  • Material Handling: Monitor all material handling equipment maintenance activities, ensuring all equipment is serviced as required.
  • Compliance and Safety: Meet established GMP standards and maintain SOPs, ensuring a safe working environment for employees.
  • Supervision and Direction: Direct and supervise daily work activities to maintenance team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Technical Skills: Utilize hand tools, power tools, PLCs, and precision measuring and testing instruments to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Improvement and Innovation: Make recommendations to senior management to improve the maintenance function, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience and training.
  • Experience: 10+ years in a related position with a background in maintenance of industrial food or beverage maintenance equipment.
  • Supervisory Experience: 3+ years prior supervisory experience directing a crew of maintenance mechanics.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with CMMS - computerized maintenance management system, mechanical aptitude, electrical and mechanical knowledge, and training.
  • Leadership and Management: Prior experience managing a maintenance mechanics team, ability to lift up to 50lbs to 75lbs, and maintain GMP standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with robotic machinery, PLCs for packaging machines, and electrical background up to 480V 3-phase.
  • Authorization: Must be currently authorized to work in the USA without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
