Job Overview: The Program Support Supervisor plays a crucial role in the daily management, programming, and operational activities of the assigned community-based Developmental Service program(s). This position aligns with Bay Cove's mission by delivering compassionate and effective services while demonstrating advocacy and leadership. This role is classified as non-exempt.

Supervisory Duties: Exemplifies and instructs professional and community conduct. Responsible for supervising staff as designated.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere strictly to the program model, including clinical, programmatic, and quality standards (such as staff meetings, training sessions, data collection, community engagement, MAP, and compliance with regulatory and agency policies). Provide support and fill in for the Program Director in daily operations as required.

• Actively participate in staff meetings and lead discussions in the absence of the Program Director.

• Utilize strong clinical judgment to observe, support, resource, and communicate effectively on behalf of the program and its participants.

• Assist in the creation and monitoring of individual I.S.P. development and progress reports.

• Model, instruct, and reinforce daily living skills, including medication management, personal hygiene, cleanliness, property management, relationship building, budgeting, and safety practices.

• Support individuals in meal planning to ensure nutritional balance. Aid in grocery shopping, budgeting for food expenses, and managing all related documentation for the Central Office.

• Oversee documentation and tracking of client accounts, petty cash, and other financial records as assigned by the Program Director.

• Design and implement engaging and challenging opportunities that promote personal growth and development, emphasizing independence and self-reliance based on individual preferences.

• Facilitate opportunities for individuals to exercise control and make choices in their lives.

• Be knowledgeable of, promote, model, and teach all program safety protocols, including crisis assessment, prevention, and necessary interventions.

• Assist the Program Director in coordinating, attending, and following up on all individuals' appointments and meetings, including medical, dental, and other agency interactions. Advocate for individuals and ensure completion of all necessary procedures and workflows.

• Maintain exemplary program documentation, including daily progress notes, program data, medication logs, staff communication records, and monthly progress reports. As needed, complete incident reports, I.S.P. documentation, and financial records.

• Perform household and property maintenance tasks to ensure the general upkeep of the residence.

• Serve as the Human Rights Officer for the program, ensuring all staff treat individuals with dignity and respect, being sensitive to cultural differences, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, and privacy needs.

• Assist in training new staff on all aspects of residential services.

• Help secure appropriate staffing for the program.

• Carry out additional duties and projects as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in a human services environment; GED or High School Diploma required. A college degree may substitute for one year of experience. Waivers may be granted by the Executive Director.

• Certification in medication administration from the Department of Public Health is mandatory. Employees lacking certification upon hire must obtain MAP certification within six months to maintain employment. Recertification is required every two years.

• CPR & First Aid (SFA) certification is necessary, to be completed within 30 days of hire.

• Safety Care certification may be required at certain programs, to be completed within 90 days of hire.

• Valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and at least one year of driving experience are essential.

• Proficient reading, writing, communication, and computer skills are necessary to fulfill agency functions.

• Physical capability to perform necessary lifts or restraints.

• Use of personal cell phone and/or vehicle is required (each program has an assigned vehicle; personal vehicle use is limited).
