We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at EvergreenHealth. As a Physical Therapist - Lymphedema and Oncology Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct individualized evaluations and ongoing assessments to address patients' special needs and behaviors.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team, focusing on patient-centered care and optimal functional outcomes.
- Provide instruction and supervision to Therapy Aides in patient care activities, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and medical regulations.
- Accountable for effective performance, follow-through of assigned responsibilities, and completion of tasks within designated timeframes.
- Deliver patient education on lymphatic circulation, skin care practices, and infection risk reduction, as well as instruction in exercise programs for lymphedema prevention.
- Evaluate, treat, and diagnose axillary web syndrome, postural and scapular dysfunction, and upper quadrant soft tissue changes following breast cancer surgery/reconstruction and radiation therapy.
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of Washington.
- Baccalaureate, Masters Degree, or certificate in Physical Therapy.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.
- Knowledge and training in the special needs of patients from young adult to geriatric ages.
- 2 years of experience in Lymphedema and Breast Cancer Rehabilitation.
- Lymphedema Rehabilitation Certified from an accredited lymphedema program.
- Skilled in components of Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT).
- Knowledgeable regarding forms of Breast Cancer, diagnostics, treatment approaches, and side effects of Breast Cancer treatments.
