About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Coding Educator to join our team at Universal Health Services. As a Coding Educator, you will be responsible for conducting coding, documentation, and billing training programs for billing/coding specialists and providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training programs on coding, documentation, and billing best practices
  • Collaborate with the auditing group to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted training initiatives
  • Provide testing and onboarding for new billers/coders/providers to ensure compliance with documentation and billing standards
  • Work closely with the Compliance team to ensure that coding and documentation deficiencies are addressed in accordance with established protocols
  • Develop and maintain educational materials, including presentations, handbooks, and other training resources
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in a healthcare billing, health insurance, or equivalent operations work environment
  • CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Results-oriented with a proven track record of accomplishing tasks and building high-performing teams
