Job Overview

Kaiyuh Services, LLC is seeking a part-time, on-call Food Service Worker to join our team at the Barber's Point U. S. Coast Guard Base in Kapolei, Hawaii.

The pay for this position is $21.77 per hour, including a Health and Welfare fringe of $4.57 (per hour paid). Benefits include 2 weeks of paid vacation (after 1 year of service) and paid sick leave.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner services to a diverse group of individuals.
  • Transport food from production or storage areas to serving lines, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Load beverage dispensers and the ice dispenser on the soda machine, maintaining a clean and well-stocked environment.
  • Empty coffeepots and rinse them out, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Wipe clean all chairs and place them on tables, creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
  • Sweep, mop, and deck areas, including the wardroom, scullery, and entire mess deck, to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Ensure all tables are cleaned, napkins are refilled, and salt and pepper shakers are replenished as needed.
  • Fill the salad bar with ice, position all salad bar crocks for service, and place out salads and salad dressings varieties, catering to diverse tastes and dietary needs.
  • Refill beverage dispensers and restock condiments as needed, maintaining a well-stocked and organized environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb, reach, bend, and push frequently, with occasional exposure to confined areas, noise, extreme temperatures, dust, and minor cuts.
