The Maintenance Engineer is a key member of the hotel operations team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of hotel facilities and equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades of hotel equipment and systems.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all hotel equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, is functioning properly and efficiently.
- Guest Room Maintenance: Perform maintenance tasks in guest rooms, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades of fixtures and appliances.
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with hotel staff, management, and guests to ensure that maintenance needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance-related issues in a prompt and professional manner.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certification or degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in hotel maintenance or a related field.
- Skills: Strong technical skills, including knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems; excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications: Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR required.
The Maintenance Engineer will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental hazards. The role requires the ability to work at heights, lift heavy objects, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
The successful candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
