Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer II to join our team at JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of tools and equipment.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues.
  • Assist with maintenance inventory management and requisitioning of parts and supplies as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and management to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of hotel engineering computer programs and systems.
  • Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel MEP systems and assist with training and mentoring of junior engineers.
  • Adhere to company safety and security policies, report any maintenance problems or safety hazards, and complete required safety training and certifications.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and vocational or technical background.
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
  • Valid Driver's License and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting.
  • Supervisory experience is not required, but a willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities is essential.
