Job Summary

This position is subject to change and is waiting for funding. As a STE Systems Administrator, you will serve as the single point of contact for requests of information (RFI)'s and changes in support strategy, issue resolution, risk management, and mitigation to ensure the successful mission requirement.

Remote fielded location or Point of Need (PoN) training locations will be supported telephonically, or with surge assets within AOR. The successful candidate will maintain the TADSS local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain network and computer Information Assurance systems security.
  • Maintain TADSS connectivity to central computer network.
  • Perform system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems, review system and application logs, and ensure completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups as directed by OEM.
  • Analyze network and server resource consumption, control user access, install and upgrade software, and maintain software licenses as released from OEM.
  • Assign and update security permissions on a Linux network.
  • Review and interpret Linux log files and Windows event logs.
  • Maintain Network Attached Storage RAID array.
  • Lead a team of technicians, coordinating their efforts to maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and install various types of electronic equipment and related devices for TADSS.

Requirements:

  • DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Basic Qualifications:
    • Maintain network and computer Information Assurance systems security.
    • Evaluate and optimize network and system performance.
    • Assign and update security permissions on a Linux network.
    • Review and interpret Linux log files.
    • Review and interpret Windows event files.
    • Manage Virtual Machines on Linux and Windows Hosts.
    • Maintain Network Attached Storage RAID array.
    • Perform and manage backups.
    • Maintain connectivity to central computer network.
    • Maintenance IAW Technical Specification and Documents of fielded TADSS.
  • Desired Skills:
    • RHEL Linux Administration.
    • Microsoft Windows 10 Administration.
    • Cisco IOS Familiarity.
    • Possess an active/valid US secret security clearance.
  • Desired Certifications:
    • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
    • Microsoft Endpoint Administrator (MD-102) or MSCE / MCTS [Legacy Certification].
    • CompTIA Network+.
    • CompTIA A+.
