Mixer Driver

We are seeking a skilled Mixer Driver to join our team at Newport Sand & Gravel Co., Inc. As a Mixer Driver, you will be responsible for the safe operation of our mixer trucks, ensuring timely delivery of concrete to our customers.

• Operate mixer trucks on and off road, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of concrete
• Mix and unload concrete as required, maintaining accurate records of materials delivered and time
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections, weekly and general vehicle maintenance, and proper cleaning and washout
• Conduct plant/yard maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned, including training and successful completion of Carroll Concrete's Driver Training Program

• Valid CDL Class B Driver's License (or willingness to obtain with a 2-year commitment)
• Mixer driving experience preferred, but willing to train
• Good communication skills and safety-conscious attitude
• Ability to lift/maneuver a minimum of 50 pounds multiple times throughout the workday
• Ability to maneuver in and out of truck safely, clean all areas on vehicle, and climb ladder to inspect loads of ready mixed concrete

• Guaranteed 40 hours all year round, with voluntary layoff accepted
