Job Summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician Sr to join our team in GAC Savannah. As a key member of our avionics team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems on our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide superior technical skills and expertise in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.
  2. Teach the installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems per Engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  3. Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshoot, and teach troubleshooting processes/concepts to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
  4. Oversee the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications as required.
  5. Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
  6. Enforce the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
  7. Adapt to sudden schedule changes and coordinate with other disciplines concerning projects.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Six (6) years experience in an avionics/electrical career field; or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and four (4) years related experience.
  3. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
  4. Other FCC License preferred.
  5. Other NCATT preferred.
