Avionics and Electrical Systems Lead

Job Summary
Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Avionics and Electrical Systems Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating all electrical and avionics activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks and providing daily status reports to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and complete tasks on work authorizations to meet the master schedule.
- Coordinate electrical and avionics activities to meet aircraft schedules and deadlines.
- Supervise and instruct electrical technicians on technical guidance and proper procedures for troubleshooting electrical and avionics systems, routine inspections, and preventive maintenance.
- Review daily job charging for all personnel to ensure accuracy of inputs.
- Maintain a preventive maintenance program on test equipment, hand tools, and special tools.
- Stay up-to-date with Aircraft Service Changes, Customer Bulletins, inspection schedule requirements, vendor information, and other procedures related to aircraft maintenance and servicing.
- Supervise a continuous safety program in the hangar area, including operation of support equipment, aircraft systems, and general housekeeping.
- Enforce company FOD, tool control, 5-S programs, and all safety regulations.
- Adapt to sudden schedule changes and coordinate with other disciplines concerning projects.
Requirements
- Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, troubleshooting, technical manuals, and aircraft maintenance records system.
- Preferred proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of other aircraft systems or disciplines, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural installations and repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and avionics system drawings and blueprints.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to plan, organize, implement, and obtain objectives with minimal direction.
- Good understanding of PC, Windows, and mainframe computer applications, including the use of standard computer word processing programs and typing skills.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small-space restricted areas, and lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to use hand tools and avionics test equipment.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
